On Wednesday, 12^th November, Clarivate Web of Science has released its annual list of Highly Cited Researchers, including Prof Dr F. Pelayo García de Arquer in the Cross-Field Category for the fifth consecutive year.

The Highly Cited Researchers are individuals at universities, research institutes and private sector organizations who have demonstrated significant and broad influence in their field(s) of research. Based on the world’s population of scientists and social scientists, Clarivate determines that the Highly Cited Researchers are those that can be selected from 1 in 1,000.

To determine the recently published list of influential researchers, Clarivate’s Institute for Scientific Information (ISI) surveyed papers published and cited over an 11-year period, from January 2014 to December 2024, that ranked in the top 1% by citations for their Essential Science Indicators (ESI) at the end of 2024. Researchers are selected for their exceptional influence and performance in one of more of the 20 fields used in the ESI.
